It was just last week that the world welcomed our first look at the next chapter in the Star Wars saga, but now we have word on when we can see more.
According to new reports by Slashfilm, its editors claim they’ve been “definitely told” that the next Star Wars trailer will in fact debut alongside Disney’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which releases May 1st, 2015. With both properties being owned by Disney, the move wouldn’t come as a surprise, especially given the former’s release date being significantly farther away – Dec. 18th, 2015.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed by various sources that the “throaty narrator” of The Force Awakens’ trailer was none other than cast member Andy Serkis, whose role remains unknown despite speculation that it may be the film’s main villain.
The Star Wars trailer’s listing on iTunes also mentions it as “Teaser 1,” so we can certainly expect more to come as the months tick by, whether or not it hits before May 1st.
