Earlier this week Nintendo released their 2013 Annual Report which basically covered how amazingly well the Nintendo 3DS is doing and how appallingly awful the Wii U is doing at the moment.
However, buried in the report Nintendo decided to reveal some pretty impressive sales figures over the past few years which cover the company as a whole. From the NES to the N64, from the Gamecube to the Wii U.
We’ve taken apart the files and put them in the forever simple bullet-point format for your reading pleasure:
- 268.97 Million Hardware Sales (Since the past 30 years since NES was released in Japan)
- 2195.09 Million Software Sales (Since the past 30 years since NES was released in Japan)
- 385.15 Million Hardware Sales (Since the release of the Game Boy)
- 1907.25 Million Software Sales (Since the release of the Game Boy)
Pretty big numbers eh?
