After many reports of Nintendo apparently ‘reducing stock’ of their new addition to the Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: New Lead, in order to increase eShop sales it may surprise you to learn that the game has hit an amazing milestone in such a short space of time.
Nintendo have announced that the game has now sold over one million copies (1,106,758 to be precise at the time of writing) meaning that there are now many, many, MANY people in Japan acting as mayor of their own little virtual village.
It’s strange to recall Nintendo saying that it would NOT charge for DLC packages (such as extra furniture/clothing) through the Nintendo Network when you realise how much revenue they could gain through doing so, still it’s nice to see them not jumping on the DLC-Wagon by charging for content which should already be included. Well done Nintendo!
