It has been some time since Nintendo revealed that it was going to be moving into the free-to-play business and whilst the company have already said not to expect Super Mario and Pokemon versions gamers around the globe were left wondering what the big N had up its sleeve. Turn’s out that said sleeve has just been torn off and revealed…
The first free-to-play title from Nintendo will be Steel Diver which you may recall launched alongside the Nintendo 3DS back when everybody thought it was going to fail as a piece of machinery due to its terribly poor launch lineup and lack of support until later on in the year.
Shigeru Miyamoto had this to say in regards to the title:
“There is something we’re doing with the Steel Diver idea that I think is going to open things up with that game… It’s going to be very fun. We’re exploring from a perspective of where we can take that from a multiplayer standpoint – it’s going to have this four-player battle mode that I think is going to be very interesting”.
