Nintendo revealed their latest lifelong hardware sales figures today for its consoles to investors, announcing in the process that it made a profit of 7.09 billion yen, roughly translating to $71.3m/£46.7m profit for the financial year.
The big N revealed that the Nintendo Wii U has sold 3.45 million units worldwide as of the 31st March 2013 although the original Wii console outsold it by shipping 3.98 million units although do keep in mind that the Wii U was released towards the end of 2012.
Other hardware figures show that the Nintendo 3DS has shifted 31.09 million units alongside 95.03 million copies of titles, with Super Mario 3D Land being the most popular contributing 8.29 million to the total.
The company also revealed that they are predicting to sell 9 million Wii U consoles (6.55 million more units) and 18 million units within the next financial year.
