Nintendo have announced that they are open to the idea of using a free-to-play model for new franchises. If this wasn’t shocking enough to you then you may need a sit down as the confirmation came from the company’s president himself, Satoru Iwata.
Whilst this was confirmed, Satoru Iwata did pledge that free-to-play or micro-transactions will not be added to existing series such as Mario and Pokemon meaning your wallet can breathe a sigh of relief as that pound coin can be spent on something other than a Master Ball.
If Nintendo were to add micro-transactions to a game however, what would you suggest? Let us know in the comments below!
