If you cast your minds back to late January of this year, you may remember that Nintendo went about its own business of doing what they called “Emergency Maintenance” which disabled the online functionality of numerous titles and services which ranged from the 3DS to the Wii. It seems that this is due to happen again as Nintendo have announced that from February 25th (later today!) numerous games will be affected.
It isn’t known why this emergency maintenance is taking place, but it is unlikely that it will be anything that gamers notice or any improvements to services such as the Nintendo eShop as last time emergency maintenance was carried out no new features could be told, it’s usually just background work.
