Call of Duty’s latest entry released earlier this month to the sights and sounds of President Jonathan Irons’ advanced warfare without a zombie in sight. That officially changes today with Advanced Warfare‘s announcement of its very own zombie DLC mode, whose five episode season pass sells for the cost of $49.99.
The DLC’s existence was leaked last month via a Reddit leak and Activision’s actively sought to remove the video in the weeks following, but Internet users continued to upload it wherever they could. Today’s trailer seems to match the images provided by leakers back in October, confirming suspicions that the more agile zombies in question would be overrunning a military base in the style of World War Z. Watch it down below.
Staying true to Call of Duty’s zombie modes of old, Advanced Warfare’s so-called “Exo Zombie” mode is a co-op experience, only now against zombies wearing exo suits. The trailer announces that the first episode will debut on Xbox One in January. No word yet on whether that’ll hold for the game’s Playstation 3, 4, PC, and Xbox 360 versions.
Players who already purchased the season pass get early access to the AE4-Widowmaker assault rifle starting Dec. 11th. The season pass kicks off with with Havoc map pack. A release date for the Exo Zombie content has yet to be given.
