NVIDIA Brings Kepler, World’s Most Advanced Graphics Architecture, to Mobile Devices
Mobile graphics Vs High-end gaming PC graphics. For years now you would not have made a comparison between the two, it really was the absolute antithesis of identical relating to performance and quality. For the last few months we have heard plans of Nvidia bringing Kepler, the world’s most advanced graphics architecture to mobile, but this week at SIGGRAPH we had a early glimpse of Project Logan. The two demo videos below will give you a insight on what this project is all about:
Project Logan – FaceWorks “Ira” demo
Meet Ira, one of the most detailed digital models of the human face ever created. This real-time modeling of Ira’s face is powered by our next-gen mobile system on chip – “Project Logan” – and includes the first ever mobile Kepler GPU
Ira made his debut at the GPU Technology Conference 2013, using a 250W+ GeForce GTX Titan graphics card.
This demo is running on a reference tablet drawing 2-3 watts.
Project Logan – Mobile Kepler Island demo
This is a demo of the graphics capabilities of the Mobile Kepler GPU embedded within our next-gen mobile processor – Project Logan.
OpenGL 4.3 Tessellation is highlighted here, providing up to 10x detail in the scene.
