Nyu Media, an independent publisher who focuses on localizing Japanese indie games for the PC, has announced their latest project – The Tale of Alltynex. The trilogy of arcade shooters is highly regarded among genre fans from across the world, and this will be the first time they will be localized in English. Originally released in Japan in 1997, Alltynex was created by SITER SKAIN, and features some of the smoothest gameplay the genre has to offer.
The goal of the Kickstarter is to help provide for the final phase of localization and to promote the game, especially on Steam Greenlight. Nyu Media also has a few stretch goals to entice more backers:
Official Guide Book
The 82 page guide book will serve to explain the back story of the Alltynex series, as well as provide tips for mastering the stages. There will also be information on development history and 4-panel manga strips based on Alltynex.
Limited Physical Edition
The final stretch goal will result in the creation of a limited physical edition. Aside from being packaged with a physical copy of the guide book, the edition will include 3 discs: one disc with all 3 games and 2 discs that contain the original soundtracks.
Nyu Media hopes to raise $4,999 by May 22nd. Visit the Kickstarter page to make a backing.
