Nintendo have revealed interesting information in regards to how many of their consumers have decided to hook their devices up to their wireless internet connection at home. Whilst this figure is very unlikely to reach 100%, some people still do not have wireless internet after all, it is very high in both Japan and the US.
The internet connection ratio for the 3DS is 87% in Japan, “about” 83% in the US and in Europe… 57%. Big difference there.
This news comes after Nintendo revealed that the majority of sales for Animal Crossing: New Leaf in Japan were in fact digital copies from the Nintendo eShop. It seems that the company is putting a large focus on online services at the moment with the recent push in Miiverse accessibility in addition to new sales and titles being introduced to both Nintendo eShops all of the time.
