The OUYA console, due to ship on March 28th, is a strange concept to get your head around. In basic terms it’s an open console meaning you’ll be able to modify it anyway that you see fit as well as being an attempt to cash in on mobile-like games (low prices to both consumers and developers this way) but on an actual console.
In a blog post on the official website today, the company announced that developers are now able to upload to OUYA meaning that any games uploaded will be available “for real” on the console itself when it launches on March 28th.
Developers have already been uploaded games during a testing period to ensure that the system runs smoothly for others to follow suit so there shouldn’t be any excuses about there not being a healthy launch line-up for the OUYA console later this month.
Are you excited?
