Nordic Games has announced that Painkiller Hell & Damnation, which originally saw release on PC in October 2012, will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 5th April 2013.
Painkiller Hell & Damnation is a gory first-person shooter that is simultaneously a remake of and a sequel to 2004’s Painkiller. While the original game was developed by People Can Fly, while Painkiller Hell & Damnation is developed by The Farm 51.
In a press release, Nordic Games’ Production and Business Development Manager, Reinhard Pollice, stated:
“We have been working around the clock to bring the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game in line with the quality and standard of the PC game. There has been a slight delay so that the console communities can enjoy the fiendishly ghoulish experience that we know they want and deserve. In taking this additional time to add the final touches, we know that players will realise that the best things do come to those who wait!”
The game will be available in two versions: a standard version priced at £24.99, or a Collector’s Edition priced at £34.99. No definite North American pricing was given in the press release.
