The PlayStation 4 will allow users to capture video game footage using HDMI, Sony announced during TGS earlier today.
Brad Douglas, Head of Third Part Relations for Sony Computer Entertainment, took to Twitter to follow up the announcement by saying, “I think we just announced that we’re going to allow video capture of games over HDMI! “Details will follow soon.””
If this wasn’t enough of a confirmation, Douglas later confirmed the news to Polygon, who was also attending the event.
The PlayStation 3 didn’t support video capture through the HDMI, forcing the use of component connections. With thePS4 now supporting the use of HDMI, I imagine capture video from the PS4 just got a lot less frustrating,
