Everyone knows that when Pokemon X and Y launch later this year across the globe that they are going to shift plenty of 3DS consoles for Nintendo. As if their handheld console wasn’t popular enough!
If you are a Pokemon fan then you may have already seen the (currently) Japan exclusive Pokemon X and Y themed Nintendo 3DS XL (or LL as they are known there) consoles that come in a gold form featuring the three starters and two legendary Pokemon as well as the blue version that includes the two legendary Pokemon again along with a big old X and Y to hammer home the newly named titles. Well they have already sold out. Both versions. And very, very quickly too!
The consoles were made available on Amazon Japan who opened pre-orders at 10:00 on August 10th. Within a single hour of being made available the allocation of the gold version had already sold out whilst the blue version sold out nine hours later at 19:00. Amazon Japan reportedly had around 100,000 units to sell… which makes this story even more impressive.
