Just Cause 3 just keeps pulling out all the stops. The game will already come with Just Cause 2 on Xbox One and, quite possibly, your very own island. Yes, a real island. The details are a bit complicated, though.
To win the island, you’ll need to rake in the most Chaos Points via Just Cause 3‘s in-game array of bombs, vehicles, and tools like the grappling hook to blow up oil fields and topple statues. The more creative you are, the more points you’ll earn. Earn the most and you’ll be the proud owner of an island.
Note that you’ll have to cough up the cash for obtaining and maintaining that island in question yourself. The competition alternatively offers contestants a $50,000 cash prize as listed below if you’re more the indoors type.
Square Enix details the grand prize as follows:
“The island is valued at up to $50,000 or $50,000 cash and the location of island is to be determined by the sponsor. All taxes and fees associated with purchasing and obtaining of island (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, escrow, and closing costs) are the responsibility of the Winner. Sponsor does not guarantee the island to be inhabitable, developed or reachable by any means other than a boat.”
Just Cause 3‘s Win an Island Competition kicks off on the game’s release day, this Dec. 1st, and goes until Feb. 29th of next year.
The competition is open to players in the US (minus Puerto Rico), Canada (minus Quebec), Mexico, and Chile who input the code received for pre-ordering the game’s Day 1 Edition on Xbox One or Playstation 4. Just Cause 3 also releases for Windows PC.
