The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will be receiving its first DLC pack for 2016 in the form of one of the more popular guilds of the Elder Scrolls series: the Thieves Guild. Though pricing, a release date, and the full list of features is not available yet, Bethesda have released information regarding the pack as well as a short little teaser. As with prior DLC packs, the Thieves Guild DLC will be released in two separate waves: the actual game pack and also a base-game patch that will update the game for everyone.
According to the synopsis provided by Bethesda, players will be taking on a mercenary group called the Iron Wheel that are hunting down members of the Thieves Guild. Their ire for the Guild and vigilant hunt stems from a “high-stakes heist” that went awry.
Players of The Elder Scrolls Online can find plenty in just the game patch itself, as the usual combat and balance tweaks will occur, as well as changes to how grouping works outside of using the Grouping tool in the game. On top of this, there will be “access to content from other alliances in any order you choose upon reaching Veteran Rank 1” and also improvement to Cyrodiil and its campaigns.
Those who are looking forward to the Thieves Guild DLC itself also have plenty in-store. There will be a new zone entitled Hew’s Bane, which is home to the Thieves Guild headquarters, Abah’s Landing. New story content, as well as a new 12-player trial await those willing to join fellow pickpockets and burglars. The two other major additions are new criminal activities for players to indulge in and an entirely new passive skill line that will be exclusive for those who join the Thieves Guild.
