In a recent interview with Edge magazine, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony’s worldwide studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc, gave information on the history of development in regards to the PlayStation 4, revealing some interesting information along the way.
It turns out that both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita were developed at the same time, which explains why there is due to be so much connectivity between the two platforms when the PS4 launches this holiday season. In the interview, Shuhei Yoshida said:
“PS Vita was a shorter project compared to PS4, but Mark [Cerny] and Wodlwide Studios were involved in both projects, and we worked on both projects simultaneously”.
