High-performance gaming computer manufacturer Psychsoftpc has announced Arkane Studios’ first-person action-adventure game Dishonored as being the winner of its 2012 PC Game of the Year Award, with Mass Effect 3 named as the runner-up.
The games nominated for the award were:

* Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
* Assassin’s Creed 3
* Far Cry 3
* Borderlands 2
* Diablo III
* Dishonored
* Hitman: Absolution
* Max Payne 3
* Sleeping Dogs
* The Witcher 2
* The Walking Dead
“All nominees garnered industry acclaim and large fan base support,” Psychsoftpc stated in a press release. “Fans are passionate about their games and the voting showed. This award is solely for games that support gaming on the PC. Gaming on the PC is a viable and growing segment of the gaming market and this Game of the Year Award is in recognition of that.”
