Remedy Entertainment are celebrating twenty years of making games on PC this year, initiated by the release of Death Rally back in 1996. As a way of celebrating, they have announced that their upcoming video game-television hybrid, Quantum Break, will be released on Windows 10 on April 5th, alongside the Xbox One version of the game. Adding to this announcement, Remedy have revealed that those who pre-order Quantum Break on the Xbox Store or through participating retailers will receive a free download of the game on Windows 10.
As if that wasn’t enough, those who haven’t already played Alan Wake are in for a treat. Pre-orders of Quantum Break on Xbox One will provide players with a free download code of the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake, along with its two add-on packs: The Signal and The Writer. Those who pre-order through participating retailers will also have the opportunity to get Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. All of the Xbox 360 titles are available through Xbox One backwards compatibility, so you don’t need to dig out your old Xbox 360 to play them.
If you’ve been waiting to pick up an Xbox One and Quantum Break sounds like a game you need to play, you will also be able to get a Special Edition Quantum Break Bundle that includes a 500GB White Xbox One, with copies of Quantum Break on Windows 10 and Xbox One, Alan Wake and it’s two add-on packs, The Writer and The Signal, for Xbox 360. According to the release from Remedy Entertainment, this bundle will be available March 29th, 2016, which is a week before Quantum Break is released individually.
A trailer above entitled “The Cemetery” gives you another look at the game’s live-action elements and a tease of the time-manipulation players will get to experience.
