World War II shooter-simulator Red Orchestra 2: Hero’s of Stalingrad was originally slated for release on August 30 but we learned earlier today from a Shacknews report that developer Tripwire Interactive has delayed the launch of the game till September 13.
It’s often that games are delayed for development problems or issues with the publisher but the reasoning behind Red Orchestra 2‘s delay appears to be one of pragmatism and a genuine concern for the consumer. Read the quote from Tripwire below to see what we mean:
“While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve.”
It seems the Tripwire Interactive team just wants to make sure the game is at the top of it’s notch and polished just right so that gamers get just what they paid for. If it takes an additional two weeks to make a better game that will please more people we’re all for it. We look forward to seeing the more “polished” finished product on September 13.
