The Last of Us, the upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure game from acclaimed developer Naughty Dog, already has a release date of 2013, but now US retailer Walmart have taken it upon themselves to narrow it down to spring 2013.
The date in question has been spotted on Walmart’s reservation cards, although it should be noted that the very same cards state that the date is “subject to change”. Reacting to the news, Sony said, “We haven’t announced any release date. Walmart is speculating.”
If the game itself doesn’t see the light of day in spring 2013 then one related project that will is The Last of Us: American Dreams, a four-issue prequel comic book series published by Dark Horse.
