Capcom’s aiming to give Resident Evil 6 owners a lot more to do with their game after October 2nd by adding some multiplayer modes to the game as DLC. The content will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360 so you’ll have to wait a bit if you’ve decided to play on the PS3 or PC.
The first of the new modes, Survivors, is exactly what you think it is, but claims to have a bit of a twist to it. The twist being that, should you get killed, you’ll respawn as an enemy character. And after successfully killing two human players, you can respawn as your human self.
Predator Mode will feature the Ustanak that you’ve probably seen chasing Jake Muller around. One player controls the Ustanak while the other human players have to either bring it down or survive until time runs out.
Finally, there’s Siege mode, which sees two teams going up against each other with an NPC caught in the middle. The human team has to protect the NPC as they try to make it to the end while the opposing side has to bring that same NPC down.
Additional DLC maps are said to be coming in the future for the game’s Mercenaries mode that can then be used for the three new DLC modes. No price has been given for them yet, but, again, you can expect that content to release soon after Resident Evil 6’s launch date. Unless you’re playing on something besides the Xbox 360.
