Today, Trion announced that Storm Legion, the highly-anticipated expansion to their rather successful MMORPG: Rift, will be released in both North American and European territories on November 13th. Additionally, both the Standard and Infinity Editions of the game are available for pre-purchase. All pre-order customers will receive exclusive in-game items and perks for their purchase, depending on which edition was purchased.
The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99 USD, and will provide the “Storm Warden’s Cape,” which is a cape infused with the power of a living storm from the Plane of Air, as well as early access to the new prequel dungeon “Exodus of the Storm Queen” during a world-event scheduled for mid-October.
The Infinity Edition will set players back $59.99 USD, but will give players all benefits provided in the Standard Edition, as well as three extra in-game items. The first (and possibly the most useful) is essentially a personal porticulum, a device called a Brevanic Portal Generator. Players will also receive a Cyclone Mount, straight from the Plane of Air itself, and tamed for your transportation purposes. Finally, the Infinity Edition grants players a miniature rendition of the evil Regulos.
Mini Regulos – A strange creature created by the Master Shapers. Contains all the evil, destruction, and mischief of the original in a pint-sized package!
If you’re a Rift player, and you’re planning on purchasing the upcoming expansion, this pre-order can only add even more value to your account. The prices for both editions will stay the same after launch, but the bonus items included above are exclusive to pre-order customers only.
