Both the Rock Band and the Guitar Hero series will remain high points in the video game industry when a new genre of games took over the living rooms and bedrooms of gamers across the globe and shifted millions of tonnes of plastic which nobody now knows what to do with.
It may cause a tear to the eye then when you learn that Harmonix has decided to stop releasing weekly DLC for Rock Band as of April 2nd 2013.
In a forum post on their website, Harmonix has also revealed that to say “thanks to the community” they will continue their ongoing DLC sale of 50% off over 1100 songs to ensure that you can continue to build up your library of songs from the back catalog of hits which the company have made available over the years.
Are you sad to see what appears to finally be the end of the series?
