French publisher Bigben Interactive have announced via twitter that they will be bringing rugby union to the next gen consoles for the first time. The game will be developed by HB Studios who have a lot of experience with the sport. They’ve already created four rugby games for EA Sports and also developed Rugby World Cup 2011 for 505 Games.
So far not much is known about Rugby 15 although we do know that Bigben have managed to secure licensing for the two best French leagues, the TOP 14 and the PRO D2. Here’s hoping that the game will include plenty of other competitions too. As a big rugby fan I am very excited about this news, especially when the Rugby World Cup is just around the corner. Rugby 15 will launch this year for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and PC.
