A Japanese teaser website is counting down the possibility of revealing that a brand-new Yu-Gi-Oh! film is in the works.
The website, yugiohmovie.jp, was launched a few days ago and it features the silhouettes of two main characters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! TV show: Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba.
The countdown timer has approximately four days and sixteen hours — at the time of writing this — left until it reveals the purpose of the website.
According to ComicBookMovie.com, some of the Japanese text has been translated from the website as “Yu-Gi-Oh King,” meaning that this could be a hint at the possible title for the forthcoming film.
Five Yu-Gi-Oh! movies have been produced since the franchise’s inception in the late 1990s, and the latest film from the distinguished series, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Bonds Beyond Time, was released in Japan, the UK and U.S. in 2010.
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Bonds Beyond Time brought together four characters — Yusei Fudo, Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi and Jaden Yuki — from the main TV show and the spin-offs, as they are united in stopping Paradox, the film’s main protagonist, from destroying the existence of Duel Monsters.
