Potential spoilers are abound with this recent bit of leaked news. A handful of sources have been confirming some leaked information about the plot of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Geek Tyrant was the first to report on the spilled beans of Warner Brothers and DC’s production:
According to the extra, the ending of the film has already been filmed. One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten ahold of General Zod’s body.
Sound a little too good to be true? Badass Digest confirms that this is indeed what happens.
I can confirm this. Lex has been gathering pieces and debris from the World Engine and he has used them to synthesize Kryptonite. Meanwhile he has also gotten ahold of Zod’s corpse, and it is the key to his master plan to defeat Superman. He uses that tissue to… well, that would be spoiling. But Superman hasn’t been defeated many times in the past. You can probably connect the dots from here.
If you’re not up on your Superman lore, Badass Digest is referring to Doomsday, the savage beast from the famous Death of Superman arc during the early 90’s. Genetically created, Doomsday was able to successfully kill the Man of Steel in the comics with a brutal showdown. This isn’t entirely that far of a stretch given that there was some word about Doomsday concept art coming out of the production for Batman V Superman. But since Warner Brother has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors yet, we won’t know the full story until the movie debuts in March 2016 (or at least closer to that date).
