It can be understood if you have completely forgot about the Scott Pilgrim vs. the world multiplayer DLC. After all, the game was originally launched in 2010 and since then developers have been working on DLC which will finally add online multiplayer to the title allowing fans to play with friends from all over the world instead of having to squash up on the couch to play through the game.
After what seemed like an age however, the DLC finally looked like it was going to come out and a February 6th release date was slapped on top of the virtual packaging with even Brian Lee O’Malley, Scott Pilgrim’s creator, blogging about the release date… to cut a long story short, the DLC has been delayed again and will not be coming out today.
In regards to this matter, Ubisoft issued a statement to Destructoid regarding the delay:
“The downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the Scott Pilgrim franchise.”
