Scribblenauts Unlimited, already available to Wii U and PC owners in the US, was due to be released this Friday in Europe but has suddenly had its EU release date erased just two days before it was due to be released.
Although no concrete details have emerged, Nintendo stated in a note to the press that;
“We are sorry to announce that Scribblenauts Unlimited, a game developed by Warner Bros. Interactive and 5th Cell and published by Nintendo of Europe for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, will be delayed in Europe. It has come to light that some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.”
As Eurogamer notes in its own article, Nintendo has not revealed what changes are required but it seems strange that these have not been spotted so close to Scribblenauts Unlimited potential release date. Warner Bros. Interactive and 5th Cell have also not made a comment regarding the delay.
