If you’re a fan of Sony’s 2005 Shadow of the Colossus then you may be aware that there has been talk of a movie surrounding the game for some time. For those of you who have been looking forward to it then you’ll be happy to hear that there is finally a director attatched to the project. Enter Josh Trank. Who is he you say? Well, he’s the director of the surprise hit Chronicle. That particular film had a budget of about $13 million and went on to gross more than $125 million. Sounds like the boy knows how to make a movie.
There’s no word yet on release date or cast but you can be sure that we will keep you posted. And by the way, for any of you Shadow of the Colossus fans who are worried about one of your favorite games being ruined by a sub-par movie treatment, just keep this in mind: Uwe Bowell is not attatched to this film. Exhale.
