Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun was released on Steam this week for a discounted price.
Developed by Mimimi Productions and published by Daedalic Entertainment, Blades of the Shogun is an intense strategy game that requires stealth and precision. Set during the Edo period in Japan, the team made up of ninjas must silently work through the enemy lines by using swords. Like most respectable RPGs, this game’s team is created with characters that each have their own great strengths. Hayato is the leader of the group who loves using a powerful force to fight several enemies at once. Aiko is the great camouflage expert and by dressing as a Geisha is able to distract whomever she wishes. Takuma is the sniper of the group and prefers to take out the enemy from a quiet distance. Yuki is a small child whose specialty is laying decoys and traps for unsuspecting people.
Players must be careful while playing through the missions. Each character behaves in different ways and they all come with their own set of demons. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun gives players the ability to control and play as the five characters and utilize their personal skills. Challenges may seem impossible when the odds are stacked against you, but creating a unique strategy will give you some puzzling entertainment. The game can be played with full audio & subtitles for both English and Japanese. Blades of the Shogun is $39.99 but Steam is offering a 10% discount (making the total $35.99) until December 13th during the release period. Shadow Tactics is playable on Steam OS, Linux, Mac and Windows.
