The Walking Dead‘s own Norman Reedus has weighed in on the Silent Hills controversy via Twitter. Unfortunately he didn’t deliver any good news, and this gives us one more nail in the coffin for Silent Hills.
It is nice that Reedus included a link to an article that lays out the timeline of what has been happen at Konami and how it has affected Silent Hills production.
Original Story
While the news of Silent Hills’ cancellation is yet to be officially confirmed by Konami, Guillermo Del Toro and Konami have hinted that Silent Hills will be no more. Konami threw the first gauntlet down by announcing that P.T. will be pulled from the PlayStation Store at the end of the month. Then Del Toro dropped a huge bomb yesterday at an event in San Fransisco where he stated that the game isn’t going to happen.
Toss into the mix that Hideo Kojima is at odds with Konami right now makes this rumor an “all signs point to cancellation” one. Konami has said nothing about the project and survial horror fans everywhere wait with baited breath to find out if Silent Hill has been condemned.
