After we reported the impressive two-week sales figures for the Disney Infinity Starter Park yesterday it seems that Activision Publishing wants a slice of fame as it has announced that, in spite of Disney Infinity selling 294,000 Starter Packs in the United States in two weeks, it sold 500,000 combines Starter Packs and Portal Owner Packs in the US and Europe during its first two weeks on sale last year.
Now it is worth noting that Activision Publishing is combining both Starter Packs and portal Owner Packs in this 500,000 figure, in addition to stating this this was achieved through selling in both US and Europe for two weeks whilst Disney Interactive is only using figures from the US. Also, Skylanders Giants was the second title in the franchise after the original Skylanders title whilst Disney Interactive is a completely new IP.
Which franchise will sell more this holiday season do you think? Skylanders or Disney Infinity? Let us know your thoughts over at our Facebook page!
