A CVG Report has stated that, after Skype has replaced MSN Messenger, Skype will soon replace Xbox Live Chat.
It appears that Microsoft are trying to implement Skype throughout all of its services similar to the ‘boxed’ Windows 8 approach across its computers, phones and gaming consoles.
A recent job advertisement posted on the UK Skype website stated: “The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox”.
If that isn’t confirmation the services will join in some form, I don’t know what is!
