If you are planning on being an early adopter of next-generation gaming (Wii U anyone?) then it might be a good idea to get to your local store and preorder a unit now as the Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, has revealed during a Forbes interview that the PS4 may exceed its supply.
After a fantastic showing at E3 last week, you can’t blame Sony for being a little shocked at just how well gamers have responded to its console in the face of Microsoft and the Xbox One.
During the interview, Jack Tretton said:
“that “given the technology that [SCE is] offering, given the software lineup, given the price point we have, that [it will] have consumers interested in excess of what [the company is] able to manufacture.”
If this wasn’t evidence enough for Sony or gamers like yourselves that the console is expected to do well, Jack Tretton also revealed that he was told by GameStop executives last week that GameStop would buy “every single unit” Sony could manufacture.
