Anyone who has ever played a PlayStation 3, their own, or when around a friends, may have heard of a little franchise called Resistance, an exclusive in Sony’s arsenal which was a PlayStation 3 launch title, multiplayer success story and (more obviously) a fantastic first person shooter title.
Fans of the series were left disappointed however after Insomniac Games, the developer of the series, announced that they were no longer going to make any Resistance games as they do not own the franchise rights, however during a Reddit AMA recently, CEO Ted Price said that:
“The future of Resistance is unclear – I’ve said we wouldn’t go back to making Resistance since we don’t own the IP. But I’ve also learned to say ‘never say never.'”
This obviously got a lot of people’s hopes up and after another fan asked Ted Price about the series he said:
“We probably won’t go back to it. However I’ll never rule out the possibility. I’ve learned that with some things it’s good to leave doors slightly open.”
