In anticipation of the game’s upcoming release, Wales Interactive is excited to reveal a new launch trailer for their first-person adventure/puzzle game, Soul Axiom.
Soul Axiom has been in Early Access on Steam since November of 2014, and after help from early access players and consistent positive reviews, the game is at long last getting an official release at the end of this month.
Made by the same team that brought you Master Reboot, Soul Axiom is a gorgeous, uniquely stylized story-driven game which takes place in the mysterious and haunting cyber-world of Elysia where you will collect special powers as you choose your destiny and begin to unravel the enigma of this digital afterlife.
Just what is Elysia? Elysia, for lack of a better word, is paradise, though not a form of heaven. The Elysia Server is the latest state of the art Digital Soul Provider, a place where stored memories and dreams become reality. The SoulSync allows you to upload your ‘Soul’ (a digital copy of you and select memories), and allows you to enjoy your favorite memories for eternity. This can be used while you’re still living, and can be left behind as a consolation to your loved ones once you’re gone, as they can access those memories and relive those times as often as they want.
In Soul Axiom, it’s your mission to explore the rich environments in order to discover the details of your life, and thus unlock the mystery of your ‘afterlife’ in Elysia. Throughout the game, you will be faced with a myriad of challenges, puzzles, and dangers as you struggle to discover your identity and your story; this is all so you can put the clues together in order to figure out the mystery of your very existence.
However, some mysteries may be better left unsolved.
Throughout the game you will be able to manipulate the environment via the various powers you will discover in order to make your way through this strange but alluring digital world. Soul Axiom has no shortage of areas for you to explore with 40 locations and 15 hours of gameplay, and will also have multiple endings, so the choices you make and paths you take will have an effect on what your outcome will be.
Soul Axiom is set to release for PC, Mac, and Linux on the 29th of this month, with a release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Wii U to come sometime in the 2nd Quarter of this year.
