Crystal Dynamics announced not one but two Tomb Raider games today. The latest is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. This release will be the sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, as well as the first four player co-op experience regarding Lara Croft. The game will feature HD graphics and a new story. There is lots of gameplay in this upcoming title and teamwork will be necessary in order to solve puzzles, avoid traps, eliminate hordes of enemies, while searching the temple for loot.
“After the immensely positive reception we received for our debut co-op adventure Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, we always hoped that we would find the time for Lara to return in another classic AAA digital arcade title,” said Darrell Gallagher, Head of Product Development and Western Studios. “We are excited to expand upon Guardian of Light’s legacy with an entirely new adventure, and challenged ourselves to create fun new ways to play. Four-player co-op in Lara’s world combined with Crystal Dynamics’ high production values are being brought to a new generation of platforms and we are excited for more friends to share in the adventure together.”
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris takes place in Egypt, in the far away deserts. In order to defeat the god Set, Lara is forced to team up with two imprisoned gods as well her rival, Carter Bell. With the world hanging in the balance, Lara and her team must locate the fragments of Osiris to prevent Set from forcing all of mankind into slavery.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
