In commemoration of 14 years of continuous service, Square Enix has launched the final large-scale version update for Final Fantasy XI. The final chapter of the Rhapsodies of Vana’diel will take place in a new area, Reisenjima, where players will fight for the future of Vana’diel.
As part of the celebration, all previous players of Final Fantasy XI who have had inactive service accounts as of October 23rd will be able to play the final chapter for free starting on the 13th of this month and running through the 24th. It should be noted that the account must be inactive, as well as transferred to the Square Enix Account System.
Also, if any players are missing add-on content or updates, Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition (which contains every expansion from Rise of the Zilart to Seekers of Adoulin) will be available at a massive discount starting tomorrow, and it will remain on discount until the end of the month.
