During today’s Nintendo Direct, which seems to have been one helluva show, Satoru Iwata gave a brief update regarding the next Super Smash Bros. title set to grace the Wii U and 3DS; specifically mentioning that this year’s E3 will be where the game will be shown for the first time.
It won’t be anything big, like a trailer or a release date (or will it?), but will instead be the game’s ‘first screens.’ Iwata also shared that Masahiro Sakurai, who is the lead developer, said that development is on schedule and wishes for everyone to hold on just a little bit longer.
It’s been quite some time since Nintendo has brought up the next Super Smash Bros; even during its own announcement, hardly any info was given. However, it seems that the silence will be broken, come E3 this June. I, personally, cannot wait.
