Nintendo has announced that the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will make the promised holiday 2014 release. The company has announced a Nov. 21st release date in North America.
The first wave of Amiibos (Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby, Marth) will arrive on the same day. A second wave of Amiibos, including Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Pit, Captain Falcon, and Little Mac will be along on December 19 in Europe and sometime that month in North America.
If you’re playing to win, a Gamecube controller will also launch alongside Super Smash Bros. for $29.99. The game will also be available in a bundle with the a Gamecube controller and an adapter that allows players to use legacy gamepads ($99.99). The adapter will be sold separately for $19.99. Europe will be getting a bundle as well that combines the game with a Mario Amiibo with the game’s release Dec. 5th.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is out everywhere games are sold and just recently reached a landmark goal of 2.8 million copies sold at retail.
