QuakeCon happened a bit earlier today, The Elder Scrolls V got another rerelease announced, in the form of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition. According to its developers, on the game’s official site, the new version will feature ”a decade worth of content: the critically acclaimed core game and add-ons of Skyrim Special Edition, plus over 500 unique pieces of content from Creation Club such as quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells. With Creations and Mods, there’s a lot more to discover.”
Skyrim is probably one of the world’s most popular video games, if you haven’t heard of it before. Developed by Bethesda Games Studio, the game has you, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. Bethesda also revealed a new showcase for the game, which you can see below.
Anniversary Edition Release Information
If you already own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, you’re in luck. To quote the reveal article from Bethesda, “Current and future owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on any platform including Xbox Game Pass Subscribers will receive access to three free pieces of Creation Club content: Fishing, Survival Mode and even new quests with Saints and Seducers. Additionally, Skyrim Special Edition owners on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, as well as Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox Series X|S will receive a free upgrade to an enhanced version on November 11 for their respective PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S systems!”
So, there you have it; Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be out on November 11th for all major platforms.
