Update: Shortly after posting our rumor post on Resident Evil 6 (see below) Capcom released the Resident Evil Reveal Trailer. The Trailer comfirms that both Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield are main characters in Resident Evil 6 along with a slew of new characters. Watch the trailer below:
The storyline picks up 10 years after the events of the original Resident Evil game, Leon’s story centers around a small city named Tall Oaks similar to Raccoon City as it too has succumbed to a T-Virus outbreak. Chris’ story on the other hand takes place far off in China, while a third storyline revolves around a yet identified new character and Resident Evil 4′s Ashley Graham.
Capcom confirmed Resident Evil 6 will be hitting stores on November 20th but only for the Xbox 360 and PS3. No word yet on whether it will come to other consoles or the PC.

Original Story: Blame this leak on lax security at Gamestop. According to a report just in from IGN, one of their crafty readers managed to send them exclusive photos of promotional displays for Resident Evil 6 that had just been delivered to a Gamestop. The photos, which can be viewed below, not only expose the logo of the upcoming title in the Resident Evil series but also the date of release for the Resident Evil 6 game previously unknown to the public.
According to the posters Resident Evil 6 will hit stores on November 20th for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
IGN sources also told them that the game will feature Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield as playable characters.
When IGN pressed Capcom to comment they refused to say anything and said they do not comment on rumors or speculation. Figures.

I loved Resident Evil 4 on the PC. It pains me when Capcom or any other publisher releases games either exclusively on one system or on PS3 and Xbox. They completly forget the pc gaming world. Now that Capcom revealed I can play Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield I have to get this game. No matter what folks lol.
