Jump Festa 2016 saw the announcement of three new Yu-Gi-Oh! titles from Konami, and now there is news on when these games will be officially released. The three games will be released in 2016 to mark the 20th anniversary of the popular card-dueling franchise. Though still not much news on any of the projects, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links will be the first of three games to be released in 2016. Coming in Spring, it will be available on Android and iOS devices.
The second game will be available for Nintendo 3DS in Summer of 2016 and is currently only titled Yu-Gi-Oh! for Nintendo 3DS (working title), while an online-focused version of the card game will be made available on consoles and PC in Winter 2016 – tentatively titled Yu-Gi-Oh! Online Game. There is no word on which consoles the game will appear on, but it is likely a safe bet to assume PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, possibly with a release on the Wii U as well. No details were given on what the games will even consist of, but it’s probably not a long shot to say that there will be a Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician involved.
There will also be major updates to Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. On top of all of this, the 20th anniversary of the series will also see the release of a new movie titled Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions.
