Nintendo released a trailer for Twilight Princess HD that reveals more about the amiibo features and what to expect in the HD edition of this classic.
The trailer showcases a few of Link’s iconic items: the Iron Boots, Dominion Rod, Clawshot, Hero’s Bow and Gale Boomerang. The HD edition’s updated graphics reveal the world’s finest details from light and shadows to the dirt and grass. Old characters have been given the HD treatment and look much sharper in this trailer compared to the original Wii and GameCube editions.
The developers have utilized the gamepad to make the gaming experience smooth by allowing players to access the dungeon maps and inventory in addition to equipping items without having to pause the game. The gamepad also supports off-TV play for times when the TV monitor is in use.
New Miiverse stamps can be found while playing through the game that can be used when drawing a Miiverse post. The stamps showed range from characters to symbols. Nintendo published in their Press Room: “[a] new item in the game called the “Ghost Lantern” has been added. This mysterious item will glow when in the same area as a Poe (a kind of ghost), making the Poe soul-retrieving quest much easier to complete.” Although this is a remake/ re-release of a game, Nintendo has certainly put care into making Twilight Princess HD game a new experience for those who have already played it.
The Cave of Shadows is a dungeon only accessible by using the special Wolf Link amiibo. After completing this dungeon, Link will be rewarded with the Colossal Wallet which can hold up to 9,999 rupees!!! Other Legend of Zelda amiibo are also usable with this title.
