It seems that we may shortly have a repeat of the FIFA .VS. Call of Duty competition which raged on for numerous weeks in the UK as both of the top two spaces remain the same after gamers purchased new titles galore last week ranging from BioShock Infinite to Skylanders Giants.
Courtesy of Chart-Track, we’ve listed the top ten titles in the all-formats chart below as well as their position last week:
- BioShock Infinite (No Change)
- Tomb Raider (No Change)
- Defiance (New Entry)
- FIFA 13 (No Change)
- Luigi’s Mansion 2 (No Change)
- Gears of War: Judgment (Previously 3rd)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II (No Change)
- Assassin’s Creed III (Previously 9th)
- Skylanders Giants (Previously 15th)
- Need For Speed Most Wanted (Previously 17th)
Out of the entire top ten, you may be scratching your head if you are a US reader as to why Skylanders and Need for Speed have suddenly jumped up six/seven spaces. Last week was the final/first week of Easter Holidays for numerous school children in the UK so it seems entirely plausible that titles such as Skylanders would sell more copies during this period, especially as some parents opt to different presents instead of chocolate!
Maybe next week, after all the Easter holidays have passed us by will show a more varied change across the UK All-Formats chart? As always, stick with us on Bagogames for all the latest when it comes to the video game industry.
