Fans of the Uncharted franchise can rejoice as Uncharted: The Lost Legacy finally has a firm release date. Fans who can’t wait to go adventuring as Nadine Ross and Chloe Frazer will be able to on August 22nd. Along with the announcement of the game’s release date, Naughty Dog also unveiled a new cinematic trailer that is from a scene early in the game. You can watch that trailer above.
In Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, players follow Chloe as she works with Nadine to discover the secrets of the Tusk of Ganesh. The adventure will primarily take place in India. This marks the first time that the Uncharted series has switched its protagonist, after usually having Nathan Drake serve as the hero of the series. The Lost Legacy will have a few different offers attached to it that should entice players into playing the stand-alone adventure. Priced at only $39.99 USD, anyone who pre-orders the game at participating retailers will receive a free download of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4, which was recently announced as coming to Sony’s latest console.
Naughty Dog also stated that “If you picked up the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack, you’ll get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as a digital download at launch. Owners of these products are not eligible for any pre-order bonuses.” So you’re out of luck on the Jak & Daxter pack-in if you purchased any of these editions.
