Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late [cl-r] has been officially announced on Steam late Monday evening (It’s Late [br-o]). To the surprise of many players on PC, Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late [cl-r]’s PC Release Date is much closer than expected, being officially released on March 27th, in comparison to its February 20th release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The game (which has been abbreviated by the community as UNICLR) brings a wealth of new features in the new update. No information has been revealed on its update size or release time. New balance changes, a new character, and new moves for existing characters are among the most important changes coming soon.
Extensive Training Features
For the uninitiated, UNICLR has quite possibly one of the most detailed and expanded tutorials for fighting games out there, rivaled in detail by only Mortal Kombat 11. It has detailed descriptions for players of all levels. For instance, it can teach beginners about how the game’s mechanics work. At the same time, it can teach more experienced players about concepts like fuzzy guarding and meaty attacks.
Beyond the game’s incredibly detailed tutorial lies Mission Mode, where the game will show you both basic and more advanced combo ideas. This mode details character-specific mechanics and abilities, as well. For example, it explains Hyde’s unique character ability, where normal buttons will do some chip damage. Another example is Carmine, who has powerful attacks at his disposal, but he damages himself on use.
Challenger Approaching: Londrekia
The March 27th Steam Update for UNICLR will bring new DLC character Londrekia into battle. A member of Ritter Schild, he brings his control over ice to the UNICLR roster as its first-ever DLC character. Wielding his staff, his potential at playing at the range he wants to is quite high.
His unique ability is known as Dare Glacial. It allows him to apply a special debuff when any of his special moves hit or are blocked. The next special move that hits in this scenario will freeze the opponent solid, allowing for extended combos. His entire move set is based around this mechanic and is the cornerstone of his gameplay.
Londrekia, when purchased standalone, will come with the character, his two battle themes, and additional gallery contents for $8.99 USD.
CLR Update Information and Pricing
On March 27th, when the CLR update will be available to everyone, the pricing will follow multiple purchase instances, based upon what is already owned by the consumer. This is done to minimize the pricing for the game’s additional content that the consumer is missing.
If no content is owned, purchasing CLR will cost about $39.99 USD. Upgrading and getting all of the new CLR DLC (the Londrekia bundle, additional colors for all characters and Londrekia’s round call voice) is available in a $14.99 USD bundle. Additional color bundles are sold for $2.99 each, and each of the four bundles has colors for 5 characters.
Londrekia also has his own colors bundle, akin to the ones shown for the other characters, priced at 0.99 USD.
