Mighty Rocket Studio has announced the upcoming release of Obscure, which is set to arrive on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The original Obscure was a horror game released on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in 2004, and although it received mixed reviews, a sequel appeared three years later. While the two games in the series were survival horror titles, the upcoming remake takes a very different approach by being a 2.5D side-scrolling action game with a colourful cartoon style.
Featuring both local and online co-operative play for up to four players, Obscure is, according to the press release, “Geared toward action and all-out brawling”, allowing you to play as one of four uniquely skilled characters and “discover new weapons, and complete objectives throughout a variety of huge, non-linear levels.”
Obscure is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE and PC in the spring.
